- Directors:
-
I don't have enough interest to pick favourites
- Type of Television Programming:

What about the shows that document how a real crime was solved? I like a lot of the Discovery and History channels. I don't watch often or at all.
- Types of Books:
-
History, Non-Fiction, Science/Nature, Text Books
- Books:
-
I can't keep much interest in fiction. I like non-fiction that precisely targets my interests. I especially like reading patents. I collect scanned textbooks like some collect mp3s.
- Types of Video Games:
-
Simulation, Strategy
- Video Games:
-
I can't stand when coordination and skill affect game play. I like a lot of older games just because the details of their implementation is more available.
- Board Games:
-
I have friends who swear by these. I don't understand the fuss. It'd be so much faster and easier as a video game.
- Trading Card Games:
-
Again, I don't get it. A video game can implement the same game faster, easier, and cheaper.
- Artists:
-
M.C. Escher, too bad most of his engravings are privately hoarded.
- Food:
-
I wish I didn't have to eat, 100% nutrtion, cheap

Non X86 computers, test equipment, high performance CRT displays, scanned books.

-
in stereo 3D. When I'm not reading or browsing, I'm wrestling with software or devices.
- Video Game Consoles I Own:
-
SNES, N64, GB. I'm thinking about a DS for homebrew, but it doesn't have a keyboard like my Ti-92 calculator.
- I'm Reading:
-
Patents, text-books, O'Reilly books, source code
- Music Artists I'm Listening To:
-
I rarely listen to music. Rachmaninoff, Chopin.. whomever happens to play it on youtube. I prefer MIDI whenever possible.
- Instruments I Play:
-
I like my cheapo casio MIDI keyboard without touch sensitivity or key weighting.
- TV Shows I'm Watching:
-
Few and rarely. Mythbusters is ok. Jeopardy can be fun. I like alot of the stuff on the public channels, especially the stuff on politics and current events.
- Movies I've Seen Recently:
-
None. My dad would rent tons of movies and I would never watch them.

- About Me:
-
I'm the kind of person who has to know how something works. Satisfying that, I have to tinker with it.
Socially, you can compare me to an animal kept in captivity. I miss a lot of social nuances and am often torn to bits by my wild counterparts.
Online, I think I type fast enough to make up for any social deficiencies, yet I still run into trouble.
I'm told I bring up some of the strangest topics, and go off on very obscure tangents, so you may salvage something desirable from my social isolation.
I don't mind debate or argument. What's a friendship where you can't butt heads?
I've had friends whom with I've gotten along very well, so long as we had a topic of common interest.
- Turn Ons:
-
curiosity, passion, command of language, intelligence, skepticism, criticism, altruism.
And all the usual things people like, such as amicability. Alluding to this sites definition of geek, I admire people who choose and stick with their views regardless of popularity or profitability.
- Turn Offs:
-
lamers (see wikipedia), ignorance, materialism, elitism, dishonesty, insincerity.
I don't understand people who lack curiosity, or a passion for anything. My own brother fits this description. He lives day to day, with never more than a quickly passing interest.
- I am most pround of...:
-
The amount of people I've helped through my website. At time I created it, I was sick, and I wasn't sure if I could manage to do anything of significance to anybody. It's encouraging to know what I did continues to make a difference for more people. I hope to follow up this success.
- I would like to learn...:
-
More about the world and how to control it. As shallow and generic as that sounds, I think it is distinct from other answers and not so specific as to be trivial. I strive to learn more pure science first (about the world), and engineering second(about controlling it).
- A great first date would be:
-
an engaging online conversation. Hopefully I find my date refreshingly original, articulate and opinionated. I could find a great gift in my large library of ebooks (primarily text books). Most importantly we'd share some interests, and exchange info.
